TBC v5.30 Introduces Many New Updates
In late April Trimble announced the latest version of Trimble Business Center — TBC 5.30. As usual, Trimble has not disappointed with its list of upgrades to this latest version. We thought we’d take a few minutes to go through some of them and even provide some of our own guidance to the upgrades from Precision Training/Technical Support Representative Ben Brookman.
CAD Command Line
Users will love the all-new Command Line to run multiple CAD commands by entering command aliases, keyboard shortcuts, and values (with occasional picking in graphic views). Most commands for creating and editing 2D and 3D CAD objects are supported on the Command Line. Users can run the commands in the Plan View, 3D View, Sheet View, and Cutting Plane View. Command Line is more keyboard-focused and therefore more efficient than running commands from the Command Pane. Watch our quick demo of this new feature in the video below.
Extract Ground Feature
In TBC 5.30, the Extract Ground command is licensed to the Aerial Photogrammetry module. This change was made to expand the capabilities of Aerial Photogrammetry module users when working with point cloud data from UAV hardware without having to purchase the additional Scanning module. For users of the Scanning module, no functionality was lost in this change, as the ‘Ground’ option is still available within the Classify Regions command. Watch our video below to discover how to access the new Extract Ground feature.
Drawing Lines by Bearing and Distance
With TBC 5.30 drawing a center line by bearing and distance is now available in a much more time-effective way. View our quick demo below to discover how this new feature works.
Trimble TBC 5.30 includes many other new features, including enhancements to Mobile Mapping, Tunnel Workflows and new commands for surface tools. For more information, visit the TBC 5.30 page on the Trimble Geospatial Website.Back to Blog
